During a public appearance to Lichfield Cathedral on the start of the week, the King was shouted at by a individual who asked him about Prince Andrew's connections with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The man inquired how long the monarch had been aware about his sibling's association with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the police to "cover up" for Prince Andrew.

Amid the protest, there were throngs of fans and cheers for the King, who was visiting the region for an engagement.

Prince Andrew's connections with Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The royal, who gave up his titles earlier this month, has repeatedly denied any misconduct.

"How long have you been aware about Prince Andrew and Epstein? Have you asked the police to cover up for Andrew?"

The monarch did not respond but carried on meeting supporters, some of whom shouted "God Save The King". One supporter can be overheard asking him for a embrace.

Another woman outside the venue was also observed telling the heckler to "go away" and to "shut up".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The scandal over the Duke of York's connections to Jeffrey Epstein has been revived by sexual abuse claims repeated in Virginia Giuffre's posthumously-published book.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre alleges she had sexual encounters with the royal on multiple times, including one instance with Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Prince Andrew, who reached a financial settlement with the plaintiff in recent years, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In 2019, he told a news program he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "at all", and that they "never had any sort of intimate relations."

New Inquiries About Finances and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, new inquiries have been asked about how he is able to finance his lifestyle despite not being a working royal.

The revelation that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Royal Lodge has heightened the examination over his housing situation - even though he made significant contributions initially, including for renovations.

The political party said he should be summoned front of members of parliament to give evidence about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last week, the authorities declined to give MPs time to debate the prince's titles or his residence, despite increasing calls for scrutiny.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his home - or where he might go.
